Chapter 16 images

The Boom Years

Note: Many images from University of California collections, such as the Bancroft Library and the Hearst Museum of Anthropology, are made web-published by the collecting institutions at significantly lower quality than images those institutions sell for print publication. Therefore, images of pictures in UC collections often look blurry or faded when the actual object is not.
